The company was launched in 1996 by its CEO, Jacqui Faucitt, who  is extremely passionate about solutions- orientated skin care. I recently had the pleasure of meeting Faucitt, and three things stood out for me about this enticing woman and her  business:

  • RégimA is a family It has been and always will be family owned and managed. Faucitt is supported by her husband and son, and together the three of them make this business work.
  • Ethics are non-negotiable for Faucitt. She is totally against animal testing and the use of animal or human derived ingredients in her products.  This is where her ethos of continual care comes in, for the planet and the people she serves.
  • Despite being from Manchester in the UK, Faucitt and her family have been in South Africa for more than 25 years. She considers RégimA a proudly South African brand. It’s one of our country’s most successful skin  care imports and continues to fly the flag for excellent and innovative locally manufactured products. ‘We create value by developing solutions for serious skin concerns that are mostly related to quality of life,’ she explains. ‘RégimA is a problem-solving  product house. Our products are the outcome of a synergy of brains between the Faucitts and John Knowlton of Cosmetic Solutions, and  our focus has always been on providing proven and effective products that are more accurately focused on needs.’ This skin care company enjoys a niche positioning and operates in a unique manner by selling its products only to doctors, salons and   spas to create exclusivity. In addition to exclusivity, RégimA’s focus is to provide high-performance  skin care products specified by a professional in  line with the consumer’s exacting needs. Faucitt believes her brand does just that, living up to its slogan: ‘products that change lives’.

A new place to call home

The brand has been so successful since its early days and now with the launch of its newest offering, RégimA Zone, that the time has come for Faucitt and her team to embark on the next step of their journey. The company will be moving to beautiful new premises on Van Buuren Road in Bedfordview, towards the end of October.

The modern building consists of two wings; one will house the RégimA team as well as extensive training facilities. The second wing is being set up   to accommodate a group of wellness professionals headed by chiropractor, Dr Duane Stewart. A hair dressing team will also be moving into the  building.

Faucitt’s idea is to create a facility for the ultimate  wellness  experience  incorporating  the very best in professional skin care solutions, supported by continuous and innovative  education within the industry. She explains: ‘The education element is a priority for RégimA. It’s one of the main reasons why the brand is so   successful, and why we have won the Professional Beauty Best Training Industry Award concurrently in 2013 and 2014.’

Ahead of the trendsUntitled-1

Faucitt always has her finger on the pulse, be it   skin care, anti-ageing or scar treatment trends.   Her company was the first to develop pre- and post-laser treatments, successfully eliminating the potential side effects of deep laser skin resurfacing and dermabrasion. RégimA also developed a specific product for post-operative and post- trauma use: Scar Repair, to accelerate wound healing and help prevent keloid scar development. The brand has also taken scar repair to the next level with the RégimA Zone Scar Repair Forte. This  super strength  serum  combines cutting edge technology with known, proven actives. Some of its ingredients include nano-centella asiatica, palmitoyl tripeptide-5, yeast beta glucan, ceratonia silique seed extract, and arnica montana flower.

It doesn’t stop here for RégimA as Faucitt is constantly researching new innovations in skin repair and regeneration. ‘There are new and very innovative ingredients on the horizon,’  she comments. ‘One that stands out for me  is EpiGenerist, a world-first product that is soon to be released. It contains actives shown to be able to stimulate and improve skin’s renewal process, both accelerating and improving skin’s quality.’

In addition to this new and exciting product, Faucitt says RégimA’s future looks bright with many more plans to change consumers’ lives.  •
